Start Date - June 3, 2019

End Date - June 3, 2019

Adjusters wishing to handle field claims for MS Plans (Mississippi Windstorm Underwriting Association and Mississippi Residential Property Insurance Underwriting Association) must complete training and certification specific to MS Plans. Certification is good for one year. First-time certification must be completed in-person and may be renewed annually either online or in-person.

Field adjuster certification is a one-day session which will include policy review and estimating guidelines with a final 2-part knowledge and estimatics assessment.

Course Time: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Course Location: Embassy Suites, Denton, TX – this session is offered in conjunction with the US Adjusting Services 2019 Conference

Prerequisites:

Adjusters must be on the roster for U.S. Adjusting Services or one of our partner firms, or and have active, verifiable property claim handling experience for a minimum of two years. Adjusters without the requisite experience may request a waiver of the requirement from their manager. If you are not currently on the U.S. Adjusting Services roster, click here to apply.

Additionally, proficiency with Xactimate is required for field adjusters. If you have not yet reached a level of proficiency with Xactimate we recommend taking our Xactimate 28 course first and certifying at a later date.

What you will need to bring:

Course materials will be provided electronically. Please bring a laptop computer capable of connecting to the Internet and a notepad for taking notes.

**Xactimate 28 must be downloaded, installed and functional on your computer prior to class. You will need Xactimate 28 to complete the certification assessment and Xactimate support will not be provided so you must be up and running when you arrive.

Dress Code:

Please adhere to a Business Casual dress code as you would on assignment, meaning we ask that you wear slacks (no jeans or shorts) and a collared shirt (ie, no t-shirts).
