Adjusters wishing to handle field claims for MS Plans (Mississippi Windstorm Underwriting Association and Mississippi Residential Property Insurance Underwriting Association) must complete training and certification specific to MS Plans. First-time certification must be completed in-person and renewed annually either online or in-person.
Field adjuster certification is a one-day session which will include policy review and scoping/estimating guidelines with a final assessment.
Note: Adjusters wishing to handle claims as an inside claim examiners should register for the three-day Examiner Certification instead, which includes the one-day certification completed by field adjusters (do not register for both) plus two additional days focused on claims management system and communications training. Click here to register for the Examiner Certification.
Adjusters must be on the U.S. Adjusting roster and have active, verifiable property claim handling experience for a minimum of two years. Adjusters without the requisite experience may request a waiver of the requirement from their manager. If you are not currently on the U.S. Adjusting Services roster, click here apply.
Additionally, profiency with Xactimate is required for field adjusters. If you have not yet reached a level of profiency with Xactimate we recommend taking our Xactimate 28 course first and certifying at a later date.
