2020-2021 California FAIR Plan Adjuster Certification & Training

CATI is proud to be the training partner of California FAIR Plan.

Adjusters handling claims for the FAIR Plan must complete IA training to be approved for claim assignments.

This training will ensure that adjusters provide consistent customer service to the FAIR Plan’s customers, have a solid understanding of coverage provided by the FAIR Plan policies, meet regulatory requirements and deliver accurate estimates based on consistent guidelines.

This training is composed of a live half-day webinar followed by  8 required self-paced online learning modules. Upon the completion of the 8 required sections, you will complete a final assessment. A passing score of 70% is required to complete the certification. You may retake the assessment as needed in order to pass.

An additional optional module including an overview of XactAnalysis functions is available for those needing additional training with this application.

Completion of this training also includes required annual CA Fair Claims Settlement Practices training.

Your will have access to this training and all material and resources for 365 days from the date of registration. Material may be updated as warranted during that time.

Additional modules may be released throughout the year. The module will be automatically added to your CATI student profile and you will receive notification of the module’s availability and timeline for completion in order to remain in good standing with your FAIR Plan training requirements.

things to know about FAIR CLAIMS TRAINING

In a CAT event, adjusters who have certified on the roster of a FAIR Plan partner firm are available to be deployed by that firm. Waiting until after the event is upon us may mean you get left behind.
The FAIR Plan requires all adjusters to have completed the Fair Claims Settlement Practices training and fraud training. Completing this course ensures all adjusters handling claims for the FAIR Plan have complied with requirements.
Neither CATI nor the FAIR Plan guarantee a deployment. Deployment decisions are made based on a combination of factors, including the specific needs of the event and the skills and expertise of the adjuster.
Each of the training modules includes short quizzes as you move through the training. A final exam must be completed at the conclusion of all of the modules.
Live training webinars will be delivered on designated dates via Zoom. Following the webinars adjusters will complete the training modules via self-paced online modules in the CATI student portal.
