You already know Xactimate is critical to your success as a property adjuster. What you may yet not know is how to get the most from it—or how to use it at all.
For most adjusters, watching an instructor fly through features in an online class or YouTube video will not prepare you for success.
In order to learn Xactimate, you’ve got to use Xactimate. CATI specializes in hands-on Xactimate training in our state-of-the-art computer lab.
CATI instructors are all Level 3 certified and hold the elite Affiliate Trainer certifications from Xactware. They’ll start right where you are and coach you through sketch functions and line item entry on the way to a completed estimate.
In just 4 days, you’ll learn critical Xactimate X1 skills to the proficiency level, the first step in successfully creating a quality claim file.
Xactimate X1 Skills Lab is intended for adjusters with little to no prior Xactimate training or experience. The training will start at the very beginning and work through key fundamental processes to be able to successfully create an estimate.
This course requires significant computer use. If you struggle with basic computer skills, you will be unlikely to succeed in this course—or the job of an adjuster. We strongly urge you to take a basic computer skills course prior to enrolling.
After completing this class, you will be well on your way to being able to work as an adjuster, but it is important to understand that more training and practice will be essential. There is much more to being an adjuster than having a license and knowing how to use Xactimate.
This class will train you in the estimating software only, not in the scoping and adjusting process.
This class will include a lot of hands-on practice with Xactimate, but will be a classroom-only course, and we strongly urge emerging adjusters to also register for the CATI Certified Adjuster – Residential Essentials course to be fully equipped in the adjusting process through hands-on scoping and estimating practice in our immersive facility using claim simulations and structural mockups.
There are no prerequisite courses for the Xactimate X1 Skills Lab.
However, use of a computer is an essential part of the work of an adjuster, and of this class. We assume our students will come with computer proficiency. It is essential you are able to perform functions such as the following before coming to class:
